What Cursor does

Cursor combines an AI-aware code editor with agents that can understand a repository, plan changes, edit multiple files, run commands, and review results.

October 9 review of the October 6 Remote Control announcement: Cursor's iOS app can view and message local agents after desktop pairing approval. Agents remain on the computer, which must stay on and online; this does not require cloud agents. Remote Control defaults on except in Enterprise organizations, where an administrator can enable it under Security and identity. Local execution does not establish that model requests or remote-access data never leave the device.

It is best evaluated inside a real codebase where the team can measure orientation time, diff quality, intervention cost, test behavior, and recovery from an incorrect change.
