What Firebase Studio does

Google announced the Firebase Studio sunset on March 19, 2026. Its June 22 update disabled new workspace creation and user signup, while existing workspaces remain accessible until March 22, 2027.

Google recommends migrating Studio projects to Google AI Studio or Google Antigravity before that deadline. The announcement says already-deployed Firebase apps continue running; core services including Firestore, Authentication and App Hosting are not part of this sunset.
